Potluck & Medicare

In 2010 the Class of '63 turns 65!

To celebrate this event, we will be having an early St Patrick's day event at Mike Gibson's Garage located at 1701 E Walnut Ave in Pasadena starting at 12:30pm Saturday March 13th. Bring a dish to share for at least 10 people and of course BYOB. We will have a guest speaker who will talk about Medicare. Some of the issues he will discuss are:

  • Just what is part A, B, C, D ?
  • Are you bombarded with Medicare questions?
  • Do you need help with a prescription drug plan?
  • Why do some plans have co-pays and others don't?
  • Which plans let you "opt out" of your network?
  • Just how much is Medicare each month? Is it free?
  • When does "Open Enrollment" apply to me?
  • How often can I change plans?
  • Do you have to qualify for any of these plans?
  • Are there any policies that cover vision, hearing, or fitness?
  • Do rates change as you get older?
  • What is a "Gap" in coverage?
  • If you choose a "High Deductable" plan, will it mean lower monthly premiums?
  • Will all local "Hospitals" accept your plans?
  • Will you be fully covered if you visit another state and fall ill?

Bring your questions (and a friend) and get answers to these and many more questions. The right choices can save you hundreds of dollars each year.

What you need to bring:
1) Name of Primary Care doctor
2) Name of Specialists caring for you
3) List of Medications
